Bakery Policies
Payment. Payment secures your order and reserves your pickup date as there are a limited number of orders available. Your payment in full is due upon placing your order. This allows me to obtain specialty cutters, spectacular sprinkles, and perfect packaging to complete your order. Venmo, PayPal, and credit/debit payments are accepted. I bake when you pay!
No show = no cookies. Claire’s Cookies are best enjoyed fresh! Not showing up to the agreed upon pickup time forfeits your order. Please be on time to pickup! My schedule doesn't allow me to be home all day. If you do not show up to your agreed upon pickup time and there is no communication, your order will be donated to a family in need or a community hero. I will contact you prior to your pick up date and time to confirm these details. Need to reschedule your order? Please reach out 2 days prior to your pickup time.
Refunds and Cancellations. I can offer refunds up to 48 hours after your order is confirmed and payment is made. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot offer refunds as your cutter order has likely already been placed. But the good news - you still get your cookies on a different date (mutually agreed on/subject to my availability), for a different occasion, or applying your payment to a future order. If you need to cancel or change your order, please communicate that as soon as possible.
Delivery. All orders are pick-up only unless discussed and agreed upon at time of placing your order. Delivery can be an option if you live within 10 miles of the pick-up location (my residence) with an additional fee of $10. Live outside the 10-mile radius?! I don't mind driving, but an additional fee of $20 will apply!
What if something comes up and you need your order delivered at the last minute? I will do my very best to accommodate your needs, but cannot guarantee availability. Please let me know as soon as plans change as I need 24 hour notice if delivery is needed at the last minute. Please note the above delivery fee will apply.
Pickup Dates and Times. Delivery and pick up times are set upon ordering. Occasionally, I will have bulk pickup dates/times to accommodate most schedules. If the pickup window doesn't work for you, let's talk and try to figure something out! However, I can't guarantee pickup availability outside the designated window. So set that reminder for cookie pickup!
Change Cutoff. If you're anything like me, decisions can be really tough! Order changes can be made up until 2 days before the order pickup date. (Given I have necessary supplies on hand!)
Inspiration. Like you, I love looking at inspo pictures! Thank you for sharing! Please keep in mind, these pictures are just that-inspiring! Everyone has their own style, skills, methods, etc. With that being said, your cookies may not be perfect replicas, but I will try my best to keep it close! Oh, one more thing! I use buttercream not royal icing which is most likely what you find cookies decorated with in all those gorgeous inspo pics. Royal icing is beautiful, clean, and versatile; however, not near as tasty (in my most humble opinion)! Buttercream forever!
Last Minute Orders. While I can't accommodate all last minute orders, I will make every effort to do so. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 3 days will require a rush fee of $20.
Price Adjustments. All prices are subject to change. I am always trying my best to bring you the highest quality products for the best price. Sometimes prices may increase as dictated by increasing ingredient/packaging costs. I will communicate any pricing changes prior to confirming your order.
Product Photography. Pictures of your order may end up on my social media pages after your pickup day/event. If you do not want your cookies shared with the world, please let me know at the time you place your order. I can keep a secret! I reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Order Minimums. I require a minimum order of 1 dozen cookies. For other sweet treats (think cupcakes, hot cocoa bombs, cake pops, etc.) minimums also apply. Please let me know if you have any questions. Looking for smaller quantities? Keep an eye out for popup sales on my Facebook and Instagram page.
The Cookie is in Your Court Now. Once you pick up your order, what happens to your cookies, cake, hot chocolate bombs, etc. is all on you! Keep 'em safe, secure, and cool (preferably in an air tight container, out of the heat and direct sunlight).
Communication. To get your order juuust right, I need you to reply to my messages within 24 hours or I might just have to wing it! Questions for me? Please give me about 8 hours to reply - I'm usually covered in flour or chasing after two little ones.
Food Allergies. Baked goods are often made with ingredients that are known allergens. While I can do my best to accommodate, I can't always accommodate allergy-conscious orders. Gluten free and dairy free options are available, but please keep in mind I cannot guarantee cross contamination! Pure almond extract is used in my buttercream. Please let me know at time of order if there are nut allergies. Your order has been made in a home kitchen that is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, gluten free, soy free or any other potential allergen free.
In Sickness and in Health. Or Global Pandemics, or Tornados (After all, we are in Kansas!) or other Acts of God. While we never want the unthinkable to happen, this is life and sometimes unbelievably bad things and/or accidents happen beyond our control. You are consuming food and with the consumption of anything there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities. If I am unable to complete your order in the event an unforeseen, unavoidable, uncontrollable, and out of the ordinary situation arises, I will notify you as soon as possible and refund your payment.
